The White Shirt
Creating a wardrobe that will stand the test of time, will cost you time and money, but if your sensible and invest wisely, you can have a wardrobe to proud of and even pass on to generations to come. With this quick guide, lets start with the foundation and work our way up…..
Now most men understand that the ‘White Shirt’ is the essential garment in their wardrobe, as it’s the most versatile piece. The white shirt literally ‘has your back’ when your presenting to a new client or impressing on a first date.

Now the idea is to invest in a few different styles, two of each style makes perfect sense when your starting to build up your wardrobe, but the quality must be the of the same high standards, for example when it comes to cloth, keep it simple, stick to linen for casual summer shirts, silk for your evening wear and 100% cotton should dominate your daily look. As for fit taking into consideration the gents proportions, I’d normally recommend the ‘tailored fit’ to clients, but of course for the gents who like a little more room, then the classic British cut is always another option.
As for collars, before you make a purchase take a little time to see which collar sits best on your neck, and frames your face, the button-down collar is a classic, and it’s a wise choice for your everyday wear. For something more formal, the spread collar is a timeless classic, it’s also the perfect backdrop for celebrating the knot of your tie.

My father always says that true style is in the detail, so when it comes to cuffs, the standard button cuff is for day-2-day use only, and you can either have one or two buttons depending on your personal taste. The double cuff is more formal and essential for evening wear, however you shouldn’t shy away from sporting the double cuff during the day, as you can express yourself through the choice of your cuff links.
………………………. Till next time

Anonymous asked: I really like your blog, the photography is dope!! I also like your choice in fabric, the colours are bright yet wearable. One question though I get the feeling photography is a big part of your work, given that your model carries a camera in most of the photos, here's my question; is the camera symbolic for anything?
Thank you for stopping by, and thank you for the compliments. This collection was photographed with Alfred Hitchcock’s movie ‘Rear Window’ in mind. I tried to recreate scenes of the film whilst highlighting the quality of cloth and style of each jacket (”,)
